Group urges Yari, Faleke, Akume, APC leadership to address alleged exclusion, strengthen party unity and grassroots mobilisation in the North-East.

ABUJA — The leadership of the APC Initiative for Good Governance (APC-IGG) has appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to urgently review the composition of the APC Presidential Campaign Council and include four prominent stakeholders from Taraba State.

In a press release signed by its National President, Amb. Musa Muhammed Tsoken, the organisation expressed concern over the alleged omission of influential Taraba political figures from the recently released campaign council list, warning that their absence could affect grassroots mobilisation and efforts to consolidate support for President Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The group called for urgent intervention in the interest of equitable representation, party cohesion and effective electoral mobilisation across Taraba State and the wider North-East geopolitical zone.

FOUR POLITICAL STAKEHOLDERS IDENTIFIED

APC-IGG specifically appealed for the inclusion of the following individuals:

1. HON. MUAZU SAMBO JAJI

The former Minister of Transportation and a leading gubernatorial aspirant in the last APC primaries in Taraba State was described as a prominent political figure with substantial grassroots followership and mobilisation capacity.

2. CHIEF DR. DAVID SABO KENTE (DSK)

The organisation highlighted his longstanding commitment to the APC, financial contributions and efforts towards strengthening party unity and stability in Taraba State. It also noted his purchase of gubernatorial expression-of-interest and nomination forms.

3. ENGR. AHMED YUSUF GAMALIA

Described as a senior APC stakeholder, former National Commissioner and respected technocrat, Gamalia was recognised for his national network, institutional experience and potential contribution to the strategic operations of the campaign council.

4. AMB. MUSA MUHAMMED TSOKEN, PhD (IN VIEW)

Tsoken, who serves as National President of APC-IGG and National Coordinator of the Asiwaju Again Renewed Hope Support Initiative 2027, was also recommended for inclusion.

According to the organisation, he has consistently advocated the Renewed Hope Agenda and coordinates grassroots support structures across Nigeria's 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

'THEIR INCLUSION WILL BOOST TINUBU'S 2027 CAMPAIGN'

The group maintained that the four individuals are important political stakeholders whose participation would strengthen Taraba State's representation within the Presidential Campaign Council.

It argued that their inclusion could improve grassroots mobilisation, encourage greater cooperation among party members and reinforce a sense of belonging among stakeholders in the state.

APC-IGG further stated that recognising influential party members and providing equitable representation would contribute to building a united and effective campaign structure ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

The organisation expressed confidence that addressing the concerns would help consolidate support for President Tinubu in Taraba State and the North-East.

APPEAL DIRECTED AT TINUBU, YARI, FALEKE AND APC LEADERSHIP

The press release was addressed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Chairman of the APC Presidential Campaign Council; Senator Abdulaziz Yari, Director-General of the Council; and Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, Deputy Director-General.

Others addressed include Professor Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe, National Chairman of the APC; Senator Dr. George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation; Dr. Agbu Kefas, Governor of Taraba State; and Alhaji Abubakar Bawwa, APC State Chairman in Taraba.

The group urged the party leadership to give the matter urgent and favourable consideration, emphasising the importance of fairness, internal cohesion and collective responsibility.

TSOKEN EXPRESSES CONFIDENCE IN PRESIDENT TINUBU

Expressing confidence in the leadership of the President and the Presidential Campaign Council, Tsoken appealed for a positive response to the request.

He reiterated the organisation's commitment to party unity and the collective success of the APC, stressing the importance of broad-based participation in building a strong campaign structure.

The statement concluded with a renewed call for unity and solidarity among party members in Taraba State and across Nigeria.
