Easter: Maikalangu congratulates Christian faithful

As Christian faithfuls around the world celebrate Easter which marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ on the Cross, the Executive Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council, Hon. Christopher Zakka Maikalangu has asked residents to remember those who are less fortunate, and extend a hand of kindness to them.
Maikalangu emphasized more on the need to celebrate with loved ones, urging Christians to continue to show love and support to their neighbors, regardless of their differences, and work towards building a stronger and more united community
AMAC Boss while felicitating with christians, urge them to continue to reflect on the lessons from the sacrifices Jesus made on the cross.
Maikalangu enjoined Christians to reflect on the passion & sacrifice made by Jesus Christ which includes forgiveness, tolerance, renewal, peaceful coexistence, harmonious living and practice same in their daily lives.
He specifically urged Christian faithfuls to continue to pray for the unity and progress of all the tiers of Government and for the success of their leaders at all times as Easter signifies a significant moment in Christiendom.
Maikalangu in his Easter message congratulates Christian faithfuls and urges them to show love to one another, exhibit peaceful and harmonious relationship across their various communities.
“Residents have in the past demonstrated in so many instances that they believe in these principles by their random acts of kindness towards one another, regardless of ethnic or religious differences. Let us be strengthened and encouraged by the significance of the Easter season to continue along this path.
“let us also put our political differences aside and re-connect with friends, colleagues and other residents and continue our quest of building a strong, virile and indivisible AMAC towards a greater together.
“Let us be assured that the this Administration remains committed to fulfilling its mandate of building our council and connecting it to a world through infrastructural development of which we all will be proud. We however cannot do this, without the cooperation of the citizenry who are always at the heart of all our efforts.
“As we engage in festive activities during the celebrations, let us please, be security conscious and remain vigilant at all times. We should continue to imbibe the mantra of saying something when we see something.
“Once again, I wish you all worthwhile and memorable Easter celebrations”.
