PRESS RELEASE: Ijaw woman Leader Abuja Chapter Passed Vote of Confidence on Head of The Civil Service of Nigeria

Ebikebina Egbonkumor, Ijaw woman leader in Abuja has praised president Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Mrs. Esther Didi Walson-Jack as head of the civil service of the federation and passed a vote of confidence on her

Mrs. Ebikebina Egbonkumor said that Mrs Didi deserved the appointment, she spoke on the the celebration of Issac Adaka Bro day. The annual celebration was to mark the resilience of the ijaw foremost freedom fighter. Joined with other sons and daughters of ijaw nation.

The Ijaw Community in Abuja has praised the appointment of the Head of the civil service of the federation Didi Wilson Jack, as a well deserved appointment and which is in the best interest of all.

In a statement released in Abuja, from the office of the woman leader , Ijaw Community Association Abuja. the group commend president Bola Ahmed TINUBU for considering one of their own for the plum Job.

The group also promised to support president Bola Ahmed TINUBU'S second term bid with massive mobilization of Ijaw women across globe for campaigns and sensitization for his reelection come 2027.

The group further passed a vote of confidence on the Head of service 

The current Head of the Civil Service of the Federation in Nigeria is Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, She was appointed to this position effective August 14, 2024, bringing over three decades of experience in public service. Some of her notable roles are as follows:
- *Early Career Highlights:*
    - State Counsel at the Rivers State Ministry of Justice (1992)
    - Solicitor-General of Bayelsa State and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Justice
- *Federal Civil Service Experience:*
    - Assistant Director in the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs (2009)
    - Federal Permanent Secretary (2017)
    - Chair of the Joint National Public Service Negotiating Council
- *Notable Achievements:*
    - Developed key policies like the Civil Service Exit Management Programme and Framework on Public Service Emergency Management
    - Pioneered the Service Welfare Office and introduced Rewards and Recognition System initiatives
    - Authored a best-selling autobiography, "Roses in the Thorns", detailing her journey of resilience and triumph

Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack's dedication to public service and her wealth of experience make her well-suited for her role as Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.
