ENDORSEMENT OF PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU'S LEADERSHIP AND CALL FOR INCREASED NIGER DELTA REPRESENTATION IN THE OIL AND GAS SECTOR

Distinguished ladies and gentlemen of the press,

We, the Niger Delta Youth Movement (Abuja Chapter), gather today to express our unequivocal support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration and the APC-led Federal Government. We commend their efforts in driving economic growth, stability, and development in Nigeria.

However, we would like to emphasize the critical importance of representation and inclusivity in our nation's development, particularly in the oil and gas sector. Given the Niger Delta region's historical and economic significance, we believe that its sons and daughters should be adequately represented in leadership positions within the sector.

*Key Demands*

1. *Appointment of Niger Delta Sons and Daughters to Key Positions*: We urge President Tinubu to consider appointing qualified individuals from the Niger Delta region to head critical oil and gas sectors, enabling the nation to achieve its 2.5 million barrels per day production target.
2. *Merit-Based Appointments*: We stress the need for merit-based appointments, ensuring that the most qualified individuals are given opportunities to lead and contribute to the nation's economic growth.
3. *Inclusive Decision-Making*: We call for inclusive decision-making processes that take into account the perspectives and experiences of diverse stakeholders, including those from the Niger Delta region.

*Call to Action*

We urge President Tinubu and the APC-led Federal Government to prioritize the development of the Niger Delta region and ensure that its sons and daughters are given opportunities to contribute to the nation's economic growth. By working together, we can achieve our economic targets and build a more prosperous Nigeria.

We reiterate our commitment to supporting President Tinubu's administration and look forward to collaborating towards a brighter future for our nation.
