NACCSO LAUDS CHIEF OF DEFENCE STAFF FOR EXCELLENT PREPARATIONS TO HOST AFRICAN CHIEFS OF DEFENCE STAFF SUMMIT 2025 ABUJA

The National Council for Civil Society Organisations (NACCSO) commends the Chief of Defence Staff, General CG Musa, OFR, for the meticulous preparations underway to host the forthcoming African Chiefs of Defence Staff Summit 2025 in Abuja.

According to the Director General of NACCSO, Rt. Comrade Emmanuel Johnny, Civil Society Organisations have expressed complete satisfaction with General CG Musa's exemplary preparations for this significant event. NACCSO believes the summit will promote peace and security in Nigeria and across Africa.

Rt. Comrade Johnny has called on Nigerians to support the military chief and pray for the success of the event. He noted that the summit will enhance Nigeria's international image and prestige, boost investor confidence, and create a conducive atmosphere for businesses and government policies to thrive.

The Director General further urged Nigerians to continue supporting the military's efforts against insurgency through partnership and collaboration.

The African Chiefs of Defence Staff Summit 2025 Abuja is scheduled for August 25th-27th, 2025. NACCSO looks forward to the summit's success, which is expected to enhance defence cooperation among African nations, contributing to peace, stability, and development across the continent.

The summit will facilitate discussions on critical defence and security issues, including counter-terrorism strategies, peacekeeping operations, and capacity building for African defence forces. NACCSO is confident that the summit's outcomes will strengthen regional security mechanisms and promote peace and stability in Nigeria and Africa.

Under General CG Musa's leadership, the Nigerian military remains committed to discharging its constitutional responsibilities and advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda in the Defence Sector.
