BIRTHDAY FELICITATION TO AN ICON OF FEDERAL CHARACTER, EQUITY, AND NATIONAL INCLUSION

Victor Monday Olajide

On behalf of the National Executive Council, State Coordinators, and the entire membership of the APC Initiative for Good Governance (APC-IGG) and the Asiwaju Again – Renewed Hope Support Initiative 2027, I, Ambassador Musa Muhammed Tsoken, joyfully extend our warmest and most heartfelt felicitations to a distinguished son of Taraba State, an accomplished labour leader, a bridge-builder, and a dedicated public servant.

COMRADE BOBBOI BALA KAIGAMA
(Tafidan Mambilla)
National Commissioner, Federal Character Commission (FCC) – Representing Taraba State

Today we celebrate not merely the gift of another year, but the remarkable life of service, principled struggle, and unwavering commitment to equity, justice, fairness, and national cohesion that define the man and the mandate of the Federal Character Commission.

Born on 17 September 1962 in Kakara village, Sardauna Local Government Area on the Mambilla Plateau of Taraba State, Comrade Kaigama has traversed a distinguished trajectory of integrity and impact. A chartered town planner with a Bachelor of Science degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and a Master of Business Administration in Project Management Technology from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, he combined professional excellence with deep grassroots advocacy.

His labour activism remains a landmark chapter in Nigeria’s industrial relations history. As two-term Chairman of the Taraba State branch of the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN), later National Vice President, and subsequently National President of both ASCSN and the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) from 2013 to 2019, he stood resolutely for the rights, dignity, and welfare of Nigerian workers. Under his leadership, the TUC evolved into a more strategic and constructive force for national development while remaining a firm voice for equity and social justice.

In August 2025, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, appointed him Federal Commissioner representing Taraba State on the Federal Character Commission—a recognition of his proven capacity, integrity, and deep understanding of the principles of fairness and inclusion. The Senate confirmed this appointment in November 2025. In this exalted national role, Comrade Kaigama continues to advance the constitutional mandate of the Commission: ensuring equitable distribution of public offices, opportunities, and socio-economic infrastructure across Nigeria’s diverse federating units.

A true son of Taraba and the Mambilla Plateau, he has consistently carried the aspirations of his people with dignity and distinction to the national stage. He remains a voice for the voiceless, a defender of the underrepresented, and a bridge-builder whose life’s work embodies the very ideals of federal character and national unity.

As you mark this new age, we join your family, the people of Taraba State, the labour movement, and well-wishers across the nation in praying that Almighty Allah (SWT) grant you sound health, profound wisdom, continued strength, long life, and greater grace to discharge your responsibilities with even greater distinction in the service of Taraba State and our beloved nation, Nigeria.

We in the APC Initiative for Good Governance and the Asiwaju Again – Renewed Hope Support Initiative 2027 are immensely proud of you. Your elevation and continued service inspire us all.

Congratulations and Happy Birthday, Your Excellency!
May this new year of your life be filled with divine favour, renewed energy, and greater impact.

Signed:
