For over 34 years, Engr. Tukur M. Lawal has stood where results are demanded and excuses are not tolerated. Born and raised in Funtua, Katsina State, he has never been a spectator in Nigeria’s story. He has been a builder, a reformer, and a fighter for progress — in boardrooms, in factories, in classrooms, and in the communities that produce the real wealth of this nation.

A Chemical Engineer from Ahmadu Bello University, further armed with advanced training in Management, Business Administration, Renewable Energy, Education, Emergency and Disaster Management, and Environmental Sustainability, and currently pursuing a PhD in Environment and Sustainable Development, Engr. Lawal combines technical mastery with strategic depth. He does not merely hold certificates. He applies knowledge where it counts.

He has led at the highest levels of national institutions and industry. As former Managing Director/CEO of NIGCOMSAT Ltd, he drove innovation, digital transformation, telecommunications, telemedicine, and satellite-powered national development. He served as Director of Health, Safety, Community Affairs and Environment at BUA Cement Plc; Group Head at Dangote Cement Plc; and Country Health & Safety Manager at Lafarge Africa Plc. He was pioneer Provost of Musab Bn Umair College of Education. Today, as General Manager/CEO of NAK Steel Rolling & Processing Mill Ltd, he is on the frontline of industrial revival, job creation, and economic recovery.

This is not a résumé of titles. It is a record of delivery.

Engr. Lawal’s leadership has been defined by competence without arrogance, accountability without compromise, and results without noise. He has advanced corporate governance, industrial safety, community peacebuilding, youth empowerment, and environmental sustainability across Nigeria. He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers and the Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers, and an author whose books and research speak to both intellect and action.

Beyond the boardroom, he remains a grassroots mobilizer, mentor, philanthropist, and unapologetic advocate for community development. He does not talk down to the people. He works with them. His humility is not weakness — it is the quiet strength of a man who understands that true leadership is service.
