By Abdullahi Abubakar Our attention has been drawn to a mischievous and fabricated report authored by one Rabiu Omaku alleging that there was a stampede, fainting of women, and mismanagement during the food and cash distribution programme organized by the immediate past Inspector General of Police, Retired IGP Mohammed Adamu Abubakar, in Doma. We categorically state that the report is false, baseless, and a deliberate attempt to malign the reputation of the former IGP for cheap political gain. The programme, which was organized wife of the former Inspector-General of Police, ended in good faith, was well-coordinated and peacefully conducted under the watch of security agencies in Doma. Beneficiaries expressed gratitude and appreciation for the kind gesture, and at no point did any individual lose her life.
