By Comrade Amb Victor Monday Olajide, Abuja  President Bola Tinubu expresses his heartfelt condolences to Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, on the passing of his mother, Mama Lydia Yilwatda.   Mama Yilwatda died on Sunday morning at the University of Jos Teaching Hospital at the age of 83.    President Tinubu describes her as a woman of virtue who lived a life dedicated to faith, service, and the uplifting of her community.   The President enjoins the APC Chairman to accept her death as the will of Almighty God and be consoled by the life of purpose his mother lived.   President Tinubu prays for the repose of the soul of Mama Yilwatda and beseeches God to grant Prof. Yilwatda, the entire family and all those Mama left behind the strength to bear the loss.   Bayo Onanuga  Special Adviser to the President  (Information and Strategy) 18th August, 2025

Zulum Donates N100m to Army University Promises Equitable Distribution of Projects

victor Monday olajide  Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, has announced a donation of N100 million to the Nigerian Army University, Biu (NAUB), to enhance research and infrastructural development at the institution. Governor Zulum made the announcement while receiving the Vice Chancellor, Professor Lawan Bala Buratai, and principal officers of the university at the Government House in Maiduguri. He commended the efforts to establish a legislative framework for the university, describing it as crucial for its long-term sustainability. “Previously, the Borno State Government supported the university, and now we are providing an additional N100 million. Customs Seizes Over 69,000 Litres of Smuggled PMS in Adamawa, Warns Against Attacks on Officers

By Comrade Amb Victor Monday Olajide  The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has intercepted over 69,375 litres of smuggled Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) in Adamawa and Taraba States — one of its largest hauls under the ongoing Operation Whirlwind. The development was announced during a press briefing on Thursday, 31 July 2025, at the Customs Headquarters in Yola, by Assistant Comptroller-General (ACG) Hussain Ejibunu, who represented the Comptroller-General of Customs (CGC) Adewale Adeniyi MFR. “This briefing is to inform the public of recent breakthroughs in our operations against smuggling and economic sabotage within Zone D,” ACG Ejibunu stated. In the past six weeks, he disclosed that Customs operatives had seized 2,276 jerrycans of 25 litres of PMS and 19 jerrycans of AGO — totalling over 69,000 litres — all concealed for illegal export to a neighbouring country.
